Students and faculty of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology of the Faculty of Engineering joined the creation of the environmental profile of the Kalush Territorial Community.
During the online meeting, the students got acquainted with the structure of the profile, which includes a general description of the territorial community, information on industry, agriculture, volumes and potential hazards of industrial and household waste, as well as environmental management measures and environmental monitoring in the community.
The students and faculty of the Faculty of Engineering also participated in the joint filling of the section “Emissions from industrial enterprises” with the working group, described the harmful effects of sulfur and nitrogen oxides on the environment and human health, and provided recommendations on the structure of the section “Industrial and household waste”.
The project “Creating an Environmental Profile of Kalush City Territorial Community” is implemented by the NGO “Impact center CXID.UA” within the framework of the Policy Development and Advocacy Initiative for Ukraine, implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation with the financial support of Sweden.
