Students of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University are undergoing an internship as part of a memorandum of understanding signed between Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University and VNG International.
According to the Memorandum, students are involved in the development of local recovery plans in the war-affected areas of Ukraine as part of the project “Support for the Restoration of Local Self-Government and the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Communities in Ukraine”.
In particular, 2nd and 3rd year students majoring in Economics, Taisiia Pavliuchenko, Kateryna Tymofieieva and Yelyzaveta Netsulenko, participated in meetings of working groups of several territorial communities in Ukraine that are currently developing plans for recovery and further development.
Taisiia, Kateryna, and Yelyzaveta helped to process a survey of residents conducted by VNG International experts to identify key issues and needs of the communities, as well as to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for each community participating in the project. During the working group meetings, the students presented the results of the analysis and findings, and provided examples of formulating operational goals for the recovery plan.
