On April 19, Mykhailo Chuprin would have turned 33 years old. But on March 19, 2022, the senior lieutenant fought his last battle near Mariupol.
Mykhailo “Chup” Chuprin, a native of Alchevsk, was a tank corps commander of the separate special forces detachment “Azov” of the 12th Operational Brigade named after Dmytro Vyshnevetskyi of the Eastern Operational and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine.
In 2013, Mykhailo graduated from Donbas State Technical University (now part of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University) with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering.
Before the start of the full-scale russian aggression, Mykhailo participated in the ATO and JFO.
According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated March 25, 2022, №167/2022, Senior Lieutenant Chuprin Mykhailo Ruslanovych was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously).
