The UNHCR Ukraine team together with Caroline Lindholm Billing, UNHCR Representative in Ukraine, visited Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.

The UNHCR protects and supports refugees and internally displaced persons and promotes their local integration.

Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University has a long-standing relationship with UNHCR, which resulted in the creation of the BlueLab multi-hub dialogue platform before the second displacement, where teachers and students from among the internally displaced persons conducted classes and extracurricular activities.

The UNHCR Ukraine team together with Caroline Lindholm Billing, UNHCR Representative in Ukraine, visited Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.

The meeting was attended by representatives of different faculties of the university. During the event, Inna Semenenko, Head of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship, made a presentation on the development and relocation of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University in 2014 and 2022, and presented the key long-term and short-term needs of faculty and students. Vice-rectors Dmytro Marchenko and Ruslan Halhash spoke about the problems of resuming educational, scientific and extracurricular activities and outlined the key activities organized by the university assets during the relocation.
