Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration, Management and Marketing Nataliia Tkachenko, who is a certified teacher of the course “Democracy: From Theory to Practice,” took part in the Forum of Civic Education Teachers.
The Forum was organized by the NGO “Association of Teachers of Civic Education” with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Affairs Canada and British aid from the UK government.
During the Forum, the teachers discussed the current state of civic education in Ukraine in the context of a full-scale invasion, the prospects for the development of civic education in the post-war period, and the role of the course “Democracy: From Theory to Practice” in the development of civic education in Ukraine.
The forum participants also had the opportunity to participate in a teleconference with the teachers of Democracy: From Theory to Practice in Georgia, to learn about their teaching experience and to identify more thoroughly the trends and prospects for the development of civic education in Ukraine.
