Training to prepare the next generation for the AI era

Professor Yurii Diachenko, Head of the Department of International Economics and Tourism, took part in the inaugural session of the Council on the Future of Skills in the Age of Artificial Intelligence in Berkeley (California, USA).

The Fisher Center for Business Intelligence at the Haas School of Business (University of California, Berkeley) joined forces with the College of Computer and Social Sciences and NASA’s Ames Research Center to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on skills, education, work, technology, and ethics.

Frederick Werle, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Berkeley Extension, spoke about the vision for the campus, curriculum, instructors, and mentors of the future to prepare the next generation for the AI era.

Park Sinchaisri, Associate Professor of IT Operations and Management, Haas School of Business, presented on AI tools to improve human decision-making in complex environments and adapt to changing work paradigms.

The session will result in the identification of areas for further research, projects, and activities that the council will conduct on a global scale.
