Representatives of the team of the Analytical Center of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University took part in the online event “Green Chemistry: Innovative Approaches to Creating New Products” as part of the International Conference on Chemistry, Chemical Technology and Ecology dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The online event is organized by the Center for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production in partnership with the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale University (USA) within the framework of the UNIDO project “Global Green Chemistry Innovation and Networking Program” (greenchem), funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The event featured presentations on: green chemistry innovation and networking programs; principles of green chemistry and its potential for creating safer, more sustainable chemicals and products; practical examples of green chemistry; experience in introducing a green chemistry course into curricula; and new opportunities related to green chemistry in Ukraine.
The event was attended by Olha Maslosh, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship, Olha Zakharova, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, Production and Technology, and Serhii Mishchenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacy, Production and Technology.
