Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology Inna Kravchenko and Associate Professor Yevhen Zubtsov took part in the Columbia Climate School’s Climate Change and Societal Impacts discussion for the third time: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, and Where We Are Going about climate change, the driving forces behind these and other alarming trends, and what it all means for our common future.

Dr. Alexander de Sherbinin – Senior Research Scientist, Deputy Director and Adjunct Professor of Climate, Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN), Columbia Climate School, Deputy Manager, NASA Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center.
Alex de Scherbinin’s research interests focus on the human dimensions of global environmental change and the application, integration and dissemination of geospatial data. He has managed projects under contracts with NASA, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the United Nations Environment Programme, the UNDP Global Environment Facility, and many foundations.
Dr. Radley M. Horton – Professor of Climate, Columbia Climate School, Affiliated with: Ocean and Climate.
Christina Douglas’s work is based on working with local communities, indigenous peoples, and descendants as equal partners in co-creating science, and recording, preserving, and disseminating knowledge. Since 2011, Christine has been leading the Morombe Archaeological Project (MAP), based in the Velondriake Marine Protected Area and the commune of Befandefa in southwestern Madagascar.
