Meeting of HEI4S3-RM project partners in Lodz (Poland)

Representatives of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University took part in the meeting of partners of the project “Building Ecosystem Integration Labs at HEI to foster Smart Specialization and Innovation on Sustainable Raw Materials” (HEI4S3-RM), which took place in Lodz, Poland, with the organizational support of PHENO HORIZON.

The meeting brought together representatives of universities from different countries, including the University of Oviedo, the University of Huelva, the Georg Agricola Technical University, the International Hellenic University, the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, and the Bor Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MMI Bor).

“Through the project “Building Ecosystem Integration Labs at HEI to foster Smart Specialization and Innovation on Sustainable Raw Materials” (HEI4S3-RM), we are combining our efforts and resources to work together to create innovative solutions and promote the sustainable use of natural resources. Thus, participation in this project is our way of working together on important issues that affect the future of our country. We believe that joint efforts and exchange of experience with other universities will help us find innovative solutions and contribute to the recovery of Ukraine,” said Olha Porkuian, Rector of the Volodymyr Dahl National University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

“It is also important for us to learn from the experience of our partners, especially in the context of cooperation between universities, government and business, because this is what our university did after the first displacement and what it is doing now. This year, we have already signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Sievierodonetsk City Council on the introduction of technologies and innovations for the restoration of Ukraine,” emphasized Inna Semenenko, Head of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship, Head of the Resource Center for Sustainable Development, Professor.

he HEI4S3-RM project is being implemented as part of an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as part of its new strategy in accordance with the developed plan until 2027. The project aims to strengthen partnerships between higher education, business and research organizations by developing an innovation pathway for entrepreneurial universities. The main idea of the project is to support startups.
