Exploring ways to reduce Ukraine’s energy dependence on oil imports

The faculty and students of the full-time and dual forms of study of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology of the Faculty of Engineering met with Associate Professor of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Muatar Umarova.

The meeting was devoted to the development of alternative technologies for the production of motor fuels, which is an important area for the Ukrainian industry. Such technologies will allow to involve domestic raw materials (lignite, oil shale, etc.) in the production of high-quality gasoline and diesel fuels, and reduce the country’s energy dependence on imported oil products.

The participants listened to the lecture “Current state and prospects of development of the oil production and refining industry of Uzbekistan” and discussed the prospects of cooperation between educational institutions on scientific research of the processes of processing synthesis gas obtained from various raw materials into high-quality synthetic motor fuels.
