Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University continues to actively establish cooperation with leading industrial enterprises of Ukraine in order to increase the practical component in the training of engineering students.
The USAID Economic Support for Ukraine Project and the NGO Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (AgrokebetyPRO project) coordinated a meeting of a team of teachers from the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University with the leading Ukrainian agricultural company Kernel. During the meeting, the Kernel team presented the company’s capacities and opportunities for additional training and employment at its production facilities to the teachers. The university, in turn, presented opportunities for engineering specialists and prospects for research on topics relevant to agribusiness.
During the first meeting, the participants reached a consensus in principle on further cooperation. The parties expressed their intention to work on developing dual education for students of the following specialties: Industrial Engineering; Electric Power, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics; Agronomy; Agroengineering; Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies, etc.
University professors also presented opportunities and prospects for advanced training for Kernel employees based on laboratories that will be created in the coming months under the Modern Skills for Ukraine’s Information Technology, Engineering, and Electricity Sectors grant from the USAID Economic Support for Ukraine project: “ElectromechatronicsLab, EnergyLab, and FabLab.
