A series of lectures from stakeholders and invited lecturers from Ukraine and abroad at the Department of Animal Health and Ecology of the Faculty of Agriculture has been held since February 12.
On February 16, the students learned about the achievements of the only state poultry research station in Ukraine, whose employees create new breeds of poultry, preserve its gene pool, and provide comfortable conditions of keeping and welfare in accordance with the European Convention for the Protection of Animals.
Volodymyr Melnyk, PhD in Agriculture, SPSP, with whom the scientists of the Department of Animal Health and Ecology of the Faculty of Agriculture cooperate fruitfully, spoke about alternative technologies for the production of eggs and poultry meat.
Polina Yurko, PhD, Senior Research Scientist at the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine, gave a lecture on “Arrangement of the Laboratory for Molecular Genetic Research”.
Mykola Zhelavskyi, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Professor of Vinnytsia Agrarian University, gave a lecture on “Allergic and autoimmune diseases of dogs and cats: from theory to practice”.
