New educational paradigm: the concept of phronesis and non-linear thinking

Third-level students of the Department of Practical Psychology and Social Work and the Department of Psychology and Sociology joined an open lecture by guest professor Mykola Zhurba on “Priorities and “7 Red Lines” in Modern Education: Canadian-Ukrainian Experience.”

In his lecture, the professor presented a philosophical interpretation of modern education, discussed the priorities of its development in the context of globalization and informatization of modern societies. The professor described a new educational paradigm using the concept of phronesis and non-linear thinking.

Mykola Zhurba is a visiting researcher at the Department of German and Slavic Languages, Faculty of Humanities, University of Manitoba (Canada). His research interests focus on the philosophical, psychological, and administrative aspects of modern education.

The event was held as part of a series of lectures under the Central and Eastern European Studies Program 2024 with the support of the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies (International Central and Eastern European Studies Program).
