A webinar on “Family Mediation and its Peculiarities” was held by the University Mediation Center for higher education students majoring in 053 Psychology of the Psychology educational program.
The purpose of the webinar was to familiarize the participants with the problem of family mediation, its features, as well as the challenges faced by mediators in resolving conflicts in the family sphere; additional needs and interests of the parties in family cases.
The participants discussed the issues of communication, conflict resolution, and legal competence of a family mediator. A family mediator helps to cope with emotions, establish constructive interaction between parents, and helps to take into account the needs and interests of the child during a conflict between parents.
