The Department of Foreign Philology and Translation continues fruitful work within the international project COIL – a global network of international cooperation of students and teachers through online education.
Associate professor of the department Olena Hniedkova together with Professor Brandon Stowe from Front Range Community College (USA) developed the course “Global view of communication” with a focus on intercultural interaction and understanding between American and Ukrainian students.
The first of 4 meetings of students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences with peers from Front Range Community College took place. This meeting took place in the format of a Q&A session – live communication through mutual questions and answers about countries of residence, student life, fashion, sports, language, customs, etc.
Professor B. Stow expressed his sincere admiration for the courage of the Ukrainian people and the willingness of our students to join international educational and cultural programs in such difficult times.
Ahead of the students are many interesting and meaningful meetings, group and independent work, so we wish them success in the implementation of the project and satisfaction from intercultural communication.
