Olha Semenets, Head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, and guarantor of the specialty 014.021 “Secondary education. English language and foreign literature” Victoriia Khromova at the invitation of the Faculty of Linguistics and Social Communications of NAU attended an open lecture by Professor of the University of Jävle (Sweden), Doctor of Didactics Sylvia Edling on the topic “Features of professional training of teaching staff for institutions of higher education in Sweden. Prospects for implementation of experience in Ukraine”.
The interesting and meaningful story of the lecturer related to the history of the formation of pedagogical education in Sweden, its change of focus from massification and unification to marketization and internationalization, the goals of teaching and the challenges facing modern teachers, etc. The topic and content of the lecture caused a lively discussion and a whole series of questions from colleagues from many higher education institutions of Ukraine present at the event.
