Studying the experience of working with victims of war crimes in criminal proceedings

2nd year postgraduate student Oleksandr Fliashchenko took part in the JustTalk discussion “Victims of war crimes: their role in the investigation and work of defense counsel”.

Particular attention was paid to the participation and work of defense attorneys with victims of war crimes. Ian Edwards, barrister of the Bar of England and Wales, and the Deputy Chair of the International Bar Association’s War Crimes Committee, also took part in the event along with law enforcement officers, judicial authorities, attorneys and representatives of NGOs, sharing their experience of working with victims in criminal proceedings of this category.
