The traditional International Forum “IT-IDEa” was held for the tenth time

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering did not break the annual tradition and held the X International Forum “IT-IDEa” even in the current conditions. The event was initiated by the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor O. Ryazantsev and the founder of the Forum, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor I. Skarga-Bandurova – Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, United Kingdom.

More than 70 participants from around the world, including representatives of such countries as the United Kingdom, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and China, took part in the Forum.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of trust in artificial intelligence, which was preceded by an interesting and rich report by a researcher from Germany, PhD, Associate Professor T. Biloborodova (Saarland University of Applied Sciences, Saarbrücken, Germany) on “AI in emergency, crisis response and defense. Decision uncertainty”.

The topic “Research of decision-making system algorithms for the design of tillage tools” sparked a lively discussion, as after the war is over, agricultural production will become a powerful driver of Ukraine’s economic development.

Also, as always, students from bachelors to future PhDs, together with their supervisors, took an active part in the Forum, having a great opportunity to demonstrate their own scientific results and listen to advice on the further development of their ideas, developments, and research.

This year, a separate section presented the work done under the RESPONSE project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. RESPONSE supports the partner cities of Dijon (France), Turku (Finland), Brussels (Belgium), Zaragoza (Spain), Botșană (Romania), Ptolemais (Greece), Gabrovo (Bulgaria), and Sievierodonetsk (Ukraine).

These are works on the topic: “Integration of home automation into the Smart Home system, “The use of renewable energy sources in urban infrastructure”.

The “Online Auction Information System for Charity Events” is dedicated to military and volunteer activities.

The paper “Implementation of an electromyograph and classification of EMG data using a two-layer neural network” is devoted to the problem of limb prosthetics.

A student from China presented the Travel Agency Website Development project.

Interesting works include the development of “The “Number verifier” Telegram bot” and the ”eROZKLAD” project.

A number of reports were presented in the following sections: “IT for study and work”.

A lot of papers were presented in the following sections: “Research in IT”,”IT for Education and Work”, “Gaming Technologies and Virtual Reality”, Smart Cities and Devices, IT in Biology and Medicine, Testing and Cybersecurity Technologies, Developments for Industry and Agriculture, Developments for Economic Infrastructure, Web and Mobile Applications. All of them are promising areas in the IT industry and are interesting for modern youth.
