Teachers’ internship at Varna University of Management (Bulgaria)

A team of teachers from the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University successfully completed an international internship in Varna, Bulgaria. The program of the course “Local economic development and innovative entrepreneurship: EU experience, educational, organizational and financial aspects” was aimed at familiarizing with the European experience of local economic development, innovative entrepreneurship and improving pedagogical approaches.

During the internship, the teachers explored the latest approaches to teaching entrepreneurship. Particular emphasis was placed on the interdisciplinary nature of professional training, team learning, and the role of the teacher as an entrepreneur in the university environment. An important component was the work on modern concepts of leadership, their impact on the development of entrepreneurial qualities in students, and techniques aimed at developing independence, self-organization, and self-education.

Considerable attention was paid to the development of innovative thinking and creativity. Teachers studied social entrepreneurship, environmentally friendly business models, and the role of the teacher in unlocking students’ potential.
