Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University is a partner of the project “Education for Sustainable Development: Synergy of Competences for the Recovery of Ukraine” 

Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University took part in the kick-off meeting “All hands project meeting” – the opening of the ERASMUS+ project within the framework of the project “Education for Sustainable Development: Synergy of Competences for the Recovery of Ukraine” (SUSTED), which took place at Polissya National University.

Polissya National University, which is the coordinator of the ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project “Education for Sustainable Development: Synergy of Competences for the Recovery of Ukraine”, held a kick-off meeting “All hands project meeting”. This meeting was held in a hybrid format – Ukrainian participants from partner higher education institutions arrived in Zhytomyr, while foreign partners joined online.

The project “Education for Sustainable Development: Synergy of Competencies for Ukraine’s Recovery” aims to strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian higher education institutions to advocate for sustainable development in the post-war reconstruction of the state through the development of competencies for sustainable management and leadership.

The event was opened by the Rector of Polissia National University, Prof. Oleh Skydan. Project coordinators Nataliia Kutsmus and Tetiana Usiuk presented the key tasks of the project and outlined the next steps for all members of the consortium. Veronika Tkachenko, a representative of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, welcomed the participants and outlined the key issues of implementing Capacity Building in Higher Education projects in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was represented at the event by: Ruslan Halhash, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Economics and Development; Inna Semenenko, Professor of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship and Head of the Resource Center for Sustainable Development; Serhii Kudriavtsev, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Kseniia Serebriak, Professor of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship; Olena Arsentieva, Dean of the Faculty of Law.

Inna Semenenko introduced the university team and presented key achievements and directions in the field of sustainable development.
