In the most prestigious national educational exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine”, held on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University has won only prizes since 2001.
In the same year, the university staff received the Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. And in the International Open Rating of Popularity and Quality “Golden Fortune” the University was awarded a Silver Diploma and a Silver Quality Stele in the nomination “Quality of the Third Millennium” as the most dynamically developing higher educational institution. It should be noted that the “Golden Fortune” awards are the highest step to international recognition.
In 2002, the University was awarded bronze and silver medals at the International Exhibition of Educational Institutions “Modern Education in Ukraine”. And the Association of Business Circles (Oxford, UK) noted the European quality of the university.
In 2002, the European Business Assembly awarded Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University with a medal and a certificate “For achieving high quality that meets the European standard”. At the International Exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2003” the University received a bronze medal.
At the exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2004” in the nomination “Innovative Pedagogical Technologies in the Educational Process” the University was awarded a gold medal.
In 2004, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was the first in Ukraine to join the Magna Charta of European Universities. In the following years it became a full member of the Eurasian Association of Universities, the Association of Universities of the Carpathian Region, the International Association of Universities.
In 2005, at the International Exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2005” the University was awarded a silver medal in the nomination “Creation of a system of training graduates of higher educational institutions for competitive labor market conditions”.
At the exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2006” the university was awarded a silver medal in the nomination “Introduction of new forms of organization of the educational process”.
In February 2007, at the X Anniversary International Exhibition of Educational Institutions “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2007” Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Modernization of Higher Education in the Context of the Bologna Convention”. At the international exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2008” the University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Innovations in Higher Education”. In the same year, at the IV International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time” (Sevastopol), the university received a gold medal and a diploma in the nomination “For Supporting Innovative Activities”. In 2008 the University became a full member of the International Association of Higher Education Institutions of Universities. In 2009, at the exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2009” Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Integration of science and education – a necessary condition for improving the quality of training in higher education institutions”. It also received the Honorary title “Leader in the creation of modern teaching aids”. In April 2009 (Kyiv) at the International Exhibition “Education and Career” the University received the Diploma of the first degree “For the preparation of a new generation of textbooks”. In September 2009 (Sevastopol) at the International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time” Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a Diploma and a Gold Medal “For a significant contribution to the development of research and innovation in Ukraine and the promotion of its prestige abroad”. In the IV International Competition of Youth Innovations and Developments “New Time” 7 medals were received. For scientific developments, the University received the Grand Prix of the International Salon “Archimedes”.
In November 2009, at the last Council of The European University Association (EUA), held in Hesse (Germany), Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University became a full member of the European University Association. This association is a recognized center of excellence in higher education and research. The accession of Volodymyr Dahl University to the association of such a level is not the first in the 90-year history of the University.
In February 2010, the University won the exhibition “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2010”. The University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Implementation of Pedagogical Science Achievements in Educational Practice” and a diploma for high creative achievements in innovative renewal of the national education system. Dahl University was also awarded the honorary title “Leader of Modern Education” for many years of innovative pedagogical activities to modernize education in Ukraine.
In March 2010, the University participated and won the International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2010”. The University was awarded the title of “Leader of Higher Education of Ukraine”, was awarded a diploma “For significant contribution to the modernization of the national education system”, a gold medal in the nomination “Application of innovative pedagogical technologies in the training of specialists in universities of I-II levels of accreditation”, honored with the Crystal Stele. Personally, the Rector of the University Oleksandr Holubenko received the Diploma “For creative organizational work on the development of the modern national education system”.
In 2010, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded the highest status of a self-governing (autonomous) research university by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 227 of March 24.
At the International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments 2010” Volodymyr East Ukrainian National University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Implementation of Pedagogical Science Achievements in the Practice of Training Specialists in Higher Education Institutions of I-II Accreditation Level” and a Grand Prix Diploma “Leader of Higher Education of Ukraine”.
At the VIII International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time” (2011) Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University became the winner in the nomination “For significant contribution to science and support of inventive activity” and was awarded a diploma and a gold medal. And at the international competition of youth developments and innovations “New Time”, which was held within the framework of the Salon, Dahl’s students received 8 gold and 11 silver medals for scientific developments in various fields of science. At the international exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2011” Dahl University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Implementation of the competence system as the basis for training competitive specialists in higher education” and was awarded an honorary award for high performance in the rating exhibition competition in the field of “Scientific activity and training of scientific and pedagogical staff”.
At the VIII International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time” (2012), Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a gold medal and a diploma in the nomination “For significant contribution to science and support of inventive activity”. At the International Competition of Youth Innovations and Developments “New Time”, held within the framework of the salon, students and young scientists of the university received 7 gold and 13 silver medals.
For participation in the international exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments – 2012” Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a gold medal in the nomination “Activity of Higher Educational Establishment to Improve the Quality of Specialist Training”. The University was also awarded with the Diploma of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine for active work on modernization of the education system.
Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a gold medal and a Diploma “For significant contribution to the development of innovation in Ukraine and international scientific and technical cooperation” at the IX International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time” (2013). Young scientists-inventors of the University received eight gold and four silver medals at the International Competition of Youth Innovations and Developments “New Time”.

At the V International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2014” Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded the certificate “Quality of Scientific Publications” and two gold medals in the nominations “Activities of Educational Institutions for the Development of International Cooperation” and “Modern Programs, Innovative Approaches and Solutions for Improving the Quality of Education”.
In 2016, at the VII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions”, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded the Grand Prix “Leader of Scientific and Technical Activity”, received the Certificate “For the Quality of Scientific Publications”, and was awarded a Gold Medal in the nomination “Psychological Support for Children and Youth in Difficult Situations”. The University staff also received an Honorary Diploma “For courage and dedication in preserving the creative achievements of national education in the conditions of military aggression”.
In 2016 Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University won the contest “Invention of the Year”, which is held annually by the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property” (Ukrpatent) under the auspices of the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine. The patent for the invention №110520 “Method of controlling the process of neutralization of nitric acid in the production of ammonium nitrate” was recognized as the best in Luhansk region. The authors of the invention are Professor Iosyp Stenzel (Head of the Department of Computer-Integrated Control Systems), Olena Prokaz (Associate Professor of the Department of Computer-Integrated Control Systems), Kostiantyn Litvinov (Postgraduate Student of the Department of Computer-Integrated Control Systems).
In 2017, at the Eighth International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions”, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded a diploma and a gold medal in the nomination “Modern Socio-Psychological and Pedagogical Technologies for Supporting Children and Adults in Crisis Situations”. The University also received the Certificate of Quality of Scientific Publications according to the Hirsch Index – an indicator based on the number of scientific publications and their citations.
In 2018, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University implemented a quality management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001:2015 and received the relevant Certificate from the authorized body accredited by the National Certification Agency of Ukraine (NAAU) – a member of the International Accreditation Organization (IAF MLA). The ISO 9001 Certificate of Conformity gives confidence to the students of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University in the quality of education they receive at the university in any part of the world.
At the 9th international exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2018” the University received the Diploma of the Grand Prix competition “Leader of scientific and scientific-technical activity”. In the thematic nomination “Implementation of innovations in the pedagogical process to improve the quality of graduates’ knowledge”, our university was awarded a Diploma and a Gold Medal for the project of adaptation of servicemen to the conditions of peaceful life and education prepared by the Faculty of Humanities, Psychology and Pedagogy. Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University received a Diploma for the presentation of achievements and innovative searches in reforming the national sphere of education and science for the modern educational and methodological developments of the Faculty of Law – the educational initiative “Youth Law Campus”.

At the 10th International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2019” Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University was awarded the Diploma “For Active Participation in Reforming the National Education System”, the Grand Prix Diploma “Leader of Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity”, the Diploma and the Gold Medal in the thematic nomination “Modern Vector of Development of Inclusive Education in Ukraine”. The University also received the Certificate of Quality of Scientific Publications according to the rating of the international scientometric database Scopus.
