Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University is one of the leaders in inventive activity in Ukraine. Inventive activity has a good tradition at the University, which dates back to the 70s of the last century.

Now the university has 175 patents of the USA, Germany, France, Canada, China and other countries, as well as more than 2300 patents of Ukraine for inventions and utility models.

A significant contribution to the inventive activity was made by: Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Prof. Holubenko O.L., Honored Inventors of Ukraine Doctor of Technical Sciences Horbunov M.I. and Candidate of Technical Sciences Mohyla V.I., Doctor of Technical Sciences Smyrnyi M.F., Doctor of Technical Sciences Brahin B.F. and other scientists.

According to Ukrpatent 2021, the university is among the ten educational institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the highest inventive activity.

The University took part in the All-Ukrainian competition “Invention of the Year” and won in various nominations, both at the All-Ukrainian level and at the regional level.

2014 year

  • The nomination “The best invention of the year in the field of new substances and materials” was won by “Method for obtaining pyrimido[4,3-b][1,3,5] selenadiazine derivatives” (patent for invention No. 100738); authors: S.G. Krivokolysko, K.O. Frolov;
  • The nomination “The best invention of the year in Luhansk region” was won by “Composition for obtaining foam” (utility model patent No. 62919); authors: Milotskyi V.V., Milotskyi R.V.

2015 year

  • The nomination “The best invention of the year in Luhansk region” was won by “Method of locomotive braking and system for its implementation” (utility model patent No. 109064); authors: Gorbunov M.I., Kravchenko K.O., Prosvirova O.V., Slyusareva L.O.

2016 year

  • The nomination “The best invention of the year in Luhansk region” was won by “Method of controlling the process of neutralization of nitric acid in the production of ammonium nitrate” (utility model patent No. 110520); authors: Stenzel Y.I., Prokaza O.I., Litvinov K.A

2020 year
