Maksym Aharushev, a 4th year student of the Department of Logistics Management and Transport Safety, became the winner and prize-winner of the Ukrainian Modern Indoor Pentathlon Championships among all age categories held in Lviv. These are the first all-Ukrainian competitions of this season that have the qualification of rating.
And half a year ago, at the 2022 European Modern Pentathlon Championships, Maksym Aharushev won bronze in the men’s competition, his debut medal of this level in his career.
Back then, Maksym showed one of the best results in fencing, taking third place with 23 victories and 240 points; he finished 11th with a time of 02:13.18 minutes (284 points) in swimming; in show jumping, which is still on the Euro program, he was sixth with 300 points.
Traditionally, the last type of event was the laser run, i.e. running with shooting from a laser pistol, in which Maksym showed the sixth time – 10:14.21 minutes – and scored 686 points. As a result, the Ukrainian scored 1510 points, which allowed him to become one of the three winners.
