Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University team together with colleagues from Mariupol State University took part in the training “Strategizing in Higher Education” organized by the project coordinator Svitlana Kalashnikova and the team of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine within the framework of the EU Project “Revitalizing Displaced Universities: Strengthening Competitiveness and Supporting Communities” (REDU).
During the intensive sessions of the training, the university staff clarified the key parameters of the University Development Strategy (values, mission and vision), worked on updating the strategic goals. The modules on change management and business model formation for the University’s development, visualization and development of a strategic map, and monitoring of the University Development Strategy implementation were interesting and useful.

Familiarization with the experience of the world’s leading universities allowed us to expand the horizons of understanding the modern university in terms of implementing the Civic University model.
“Due to the discussion, we came to the conclusion that in previous years we worked very hard to develop relationships with communities and helped them become successful, and now these connections are working for us,” shared her opinion Yana Bilous, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration, Management and Marketing, Head of the Charitable Organization “New University Foundation”.
