Head of the Department of Economics and Management Inna Semenenko took part in an internship in Germany as part of the training course “Internationalization Management and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2022-2023”. This course was held in Bonn and Hannover.
During the course, the participants visited various institutions and organizations that provide academic and research scholarships for teachers and students, as well as got acquainted with higher education systems in different countries. In particular, in Bonn, the participants visited the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, where they discussed the problems of Ukrainian universities during the war and the opportunities that could be created to overcome these problems, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Research Foundation, and the HRK German Rectors’ Conference.
In Hannover, workshops and seminars were organized at the Leibniz University of Hannover, as well as meetings with representatives of the Volkswagen Foundation and the city council.
This internship was made possible thanks to the DAAD project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Management of Internationalization and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation) and the assistance of Nataliia Butych, Regional Coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe at the International Office of Leibniz University of Hannover (Hannover, Germany).
