Students, staff, and teachers of the Faculty of Agriculture took part in a seminar – press conference on the topic “The system of evaluation of higher education applicants”. The presentation speech at the seminar was prepared by the acting dean of the faculty Liliia Martynets, and the organizational part was performed by the acting chairman of the student council of the faculty Yelyzaveta Osokina.
Liliia Martynets explained the essence of the credit-module system of organizing the educational process, forms, methods, criteria for assessing students’ knowledge; said that higher education students get acquainted with all aspects of assessment at the first lesson of any discipline, as well as by reading the syllabi of academic disciplines; emphasized that the procedure for re-passing control measures is covered in the Regulations on the procedure for assessing the learning outcomes of higher education students at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.
After the speech, the students of the faculty (“correspondents”) asked the speaker questions in accordance with the topic of the event.
The participants of the event emphasized the importance of strengthening close contact and organizing feedback between all participants in the educational process to improve the quality of educational activities at the faculty.
