Ukrainian specialists prepare for de-occupation of Crimea

Svitlana Kuzmina, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, took part in the presentation of recommendations for the reintegration of Crimea to representatives of embassies and international organizations. The recommendations were developed by a group of experts during the Strategic Forum ” Future of Crimea”, organized by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Ukraine.

The expert group consists of highly qualified specialists, doctors of sciences, and experts on the Crimean issues. In total, their recommendations identify 10 areas in the process of Crimea’s reintegration: public authorities, criminal, migration, civil, social and humanitarian, information, environmental, international, justice and anti-corruption policies. The areas are developed on the basis of international standards, laws and regulations, taking into account the collective rights of indigenous peoples, as well as ongoing reforms in the governance, administrative, judicial, law enforcement and educational spheres ofUkraine.

Our work may serve as a guideline for research and the search for answers to the challenges that Ukrainian society will face after the return of the temporarily occupied territories.
