Faculty members of the Faculties of Engineering, Human Health, and Information Technology and Electronics attended an online lecture “Introduction to complex networks” by Albert Diaz-Guilera, Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Barcelona.
The participants of the event discussed the application of complex network analysis in various fields, including the analysis of social networks, biological networks, and transportation networks. They also analyzed various network models: small-world networks and scale-free networks, and ways to analyze them using graph theory and statistical methods.
The speaker presented the results of research into the applications of complex network analysis in various fields, including the analysis of social networks, biological and transportation networks. The knowledge gained will allow teachers to create and analyze complex networks, interpret their properties, and apply network analysis to real-world problems when forming educational components in the specialties of the faculties.
