Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Banking Volodymyr Tyshchenko, elected as a member of the IDP Council at Luhansk Regional Military Academy, took part in the first meeting of the renewed Council. The event was held online on September 14, 2023.
Its members – 18 displaced persons from Luhansk region – discussed a number of issues that need to be addressed in the near future and elected the governing bodies of the Council. Yana Liubimova, a member of the NGO “Volunteers United by One Goal,” was elected as the Council’s chairman for the second time.
This advisory body is to cooperate with the Regional Center for Civilian Support in three main areas: promoting social protection of internally displaced persons, their employment and housing, implementing veteran policy and preserving mental health.
