The scientists of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University decided to initiate such a project after participating in an event organized by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with the support of GIZ (SME digitalization program in the Eastern Partnership countries): EU Digital Europe Program (2021-2027).
The Program’s competitions are aimed at creating opportunities for the development of new technologies and products, opening access to new knowledge, resources and contacts and are aimed at supporting the implementation of digital technologies and innovations, providing access to digital infrastructure and services, increasing competitiveness in the digital market, promoting the development of digital businesses and digital strategies, as well as improving cybersecurity for small and medium-sized enterprises in consortium with educational institutions and government organizations, clusters. This will help bring Ukraine closer to the EU’s Digital Single Market.
The creation of the European Digital Education Ecosystem will allow to connect educational resources and services of different European universities, which will facilitate academic mobility and interoperability of education within Europe, combine the intellectual potential of educators and researchers of European universities to improve the quality of European education.
The event was attended by Oleh Zakhozhai, Head of the Department of Information Technology and Programming, Director of the IT Solutions Center, and Oleksandr Olshansky, Professor of the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship, Doctor of Public Administration.
