Andrii Fomin, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Archeology of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, PhD, gave a guest lecture on “Postwar Problems of Ukrainian Society” for students of the educational program “History and Anthropology of Law”, specialty 032 “History and Archeology” of the University of Customs and Finance (Dnipro). The lecture was held as part of the course “History of Modern Times”.
The lecturer familiarized the students with the problems of population decline in Ukraine, social problems faced by the disabled, statistics on medical care, social security, pensions and the Soviet government’s neglect of these issues.
Andrii Fomin is a specialist in the history of Ukraine during World War II and the postwar period, author of 120 publications in Ukrainian and foreign journals (Argentina, Poland, Austria, the United Kingdom, etc.).
