Halyna Tatarenko, Head of the Center for Gender Culture at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, took part in the training “Analytics as an Advocacy Tool: What, for Whom and How to Write? Policy making and preparation of analytical texts”.
With the help of trainers from the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine “YurFem”, Kateryna Shunevych and Yaryna Voloshyn, the participants got acquainted with the new policy-making standard for Ukraine, learned how policy-making analytics in the activities of NGOs can strengthen their work, discussed the types, structure and basic principles of writing analytical texts and tried to “write so that we are understood”. The information session and practical work on formulating the main messages and recommendations by civil society organizations through analytics using the tools of message and recommendation visibility were interesting.
