Nataliia Malynovska, a lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Ukrainian Studies of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, conducted an online course “Broadcasting Techniques in the Broadcast Media” for students of 10 higher education institutions.
The course consisted of seven lessons, i.e. 14 academic hours, during which the participants covered the following topics: “Breathing and its types”, “Speech apparatus and its components”, “Pronunciation of vowels and consonants”, “Intonation and its types”.
Lecturer Nataliia Malynovska began each lesson with a story about interesting personalities and historical facts. During the meetings, the students got acquainted with the works of Ukrainian artist Oleh Shupliak, with the works of Argentine writer and psychotherapist Jorge Bucay, with the family of journalists Ihor Pomerantsev (dissident, radio host) and his son Peter Pomerantsev (TV journalist, producer, researcher of Russian propaganda), and learned about postage stamps as an element of hybrid warfare and creating a positive image of the state. And on Christmas Eve, Nataliia Malynovska told about the history of the Ukrainian carol “Shchedryk,” which gained popularity around the world and was translated into foreign languages. This is the success of the cultural diplomacy of the Ukrainian state against the “Russian world” at that time. The world discovered Ukraine.
