The curricula of 13 more disciplines were improved

Eleven lecturers and postgraduate students of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics; Electrical Engineering; Chemical Engineering and Ecology; Pharmacy, Production and Technology of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University took advanced training in process automation from September 2023 to January 2024. The goal was to improve the educational programs and the quality of training for students majoring in 131 – Applied Mechanics; 133 – Industrial Engineering; 141 – Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics; 161 – Chemical Technology and Engineering; 184 – Mining; 226 – Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy; 263 – Civil Security. The courses were organized by Festo and the USAID Economic Support for Ukraine Project.

Festo is a global leader in automation technology and a global market leader in technical training and professional development. One of the company’s main objectives is to establish links between industry and education.

Based on the results of the training, teachers updated the curricula of the following disciplines: “Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics, Electrical Machines and Apparatus, Automated Electric Drives, Microprocessor Engineering, Information Networks in Electrical Systems, Electromechatronics, Automation and Industrial Controllers, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Microprocessor Engineering, “Hydropneumatic drives”, “Fundamentals of technological design of production”, “Technology of improvement of systems for the development of rocks and man-made deposits”, “State and organization of labor protection during the performance of work with increased danger”, “Technology of pharmaceuticals”.
