Students of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, future journalists, took part in the media games season that started at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth. This is an open career guidance game-competition for school and student media called Universal Journalist, which was attended by 12 teams from different regions of Ukraine: Kyiv and its region, Poltava, Kryvyi Rih, and Chernivtsi. The participants tested their media knowledge in an interesting quiz.
The specifics of the game were in the area of reporting. First, the participants listened to a master class “Reporting in a mobile phone” by Valeria Mazura, a TV journalist, volunteer, lecturer at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University and the ITA UN-PRESS clubs.
After the master class, the participants were tasked with creating video and photo reports on the topic “This is how I see the world.” In the near future, a meticulous jury will evaluate the works and perhaps some of them will become a part of the International Media Festival-Competition “Press Spring on the Dnipro Slopes” – 2024, in which Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University is a partner and the participants are university students who are also preparing their works for the competition.
