University lecturers participated in organizing and conducting a meeting of students with a representative of VNG International (the Kingdom of the Netherlands) Floriana Steinkamp, project manager of the project “Support to the Restoration of Local Self-Government and the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Communities in Ukraine”, which is part of the program “Sustainable Development through Improved Local Governance” (SDLG), funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the meeting, the students learned more about the Agency for International Cooperation of the Association of Municipalities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands VNG International and its activities in different countries. In particular, they talked about a project currently being implemented in Ukraine, which aims to improve the quality of service delivery by local governments in the context of the reconstruction and development of four Ukrainian territorial communities that have become the target communities of the project – Beryslav, Vysokopil, Ochakiv, and Kherson.
In addition, Floriana Steinkamp told the students about the specifics of working as a project manager.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University and VNG International in Ukraine.
