The first degree diploma in the specialty 275 – Transport Technologies was awarded to the joint work of students Oleh Brychak (Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University) and Karina Rosych (ONMU) under the guidance of Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Serhii Kuzmenko (Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University) and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Kichkina (ONMU) following the results of the student research paper competition held at Odesa National Maritime University,
Part of the work carried out at the Department of Railway, Road Transport and Hoisting and Transport Machines of the Faculty of Transport and Construction of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University concerns railway vehicles for the transportation of liquefied gases. The author of the paper investigated the design features of liquefied hydrocarbon tanks and identified a defect, the elimination of which will reduce gas losses during transportation.
The calculations have shown the feasibility of this idea, which will reduce liquefied gas losses by up to 9% compared to the current tank design.
