The members of the working group for the specialty 123 Computer Engineering recognized the combination of basic competencies of university education with practice-oriented training of computer engineering specialists as an advantage of the updated EP. Taking into account the interests of the department’s branches, PJSC “Sievierodonetsk Research and Production Association “Impulse” and Engineering and Production Enterprise “Veles M”, programs of project and technological and undergraduate internships were developed, and sections were introduced into the cycle of professional disciplines that contribute to the formation of the competence of a modern specialist in the field of computer education.

In his turn, the Head of the Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleksandr Riazantsev emphasized the need to actively cooperate and practice employer surveys throughout the implementation of educational programs in order to obtain feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of the EP not only with stakeholders, but also with higher education students both during their studies and after graduation. The main tool for obtaining information from students is anonymous questionnaires, which are available to each respondent through their personal account in the e-Campus system, and which are currently implemented for each educational component and the EP as a whole.

In addition, there was a public discussion of the educational programs 122 Computer Science and 123 Computer Engineering of the first level of higher education. All stakeholders were invited to leave feedback, suggestions and proposals for improving the educational program: higher education students, graduates, employers, representatives of the academic community.
