A mixed-format round table was held on the topic “Artificial intelligence and XR: new horizons of innovation in rehabilitation and adaptation in Ukraine”, organized by public leaders and their partners, who already had joint experience in implementing successful projects and programs in the field of rehabilitation and social inclusion. The purpose of the event was to discuss the importance of introducing innovative technologies, in particular XR-technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), to improve the processes of physical rehabilitation and social adaptation.
The participants of the event were representatives of state rehabilitation institutions, scientific research centers, universities and public organizations and specialized specialists from among inclusive public advisors.
The main result of the event was that the round table confirmed the relevance of cooperation between rehabilitation centers, medical institutions and scientific institutes in the field of implementing innovative solutions for rehabilitation and adaptation. Representatives from rehabilitation centers and medical institutions emphasized the importance of using technologies such as XR in working with patients, including children and adults who have survived strokes, amputations and have autism spectrum disorders. One of the key achievements of the round table was the agreement on further cooperation between the participants of the event. Representatives of rehabilitation centers, universities and public organizations confirmed their readiness to work together on the creation of new projects and concepts.
