Representatives of the Departments of Information Technology and Programming, Psychology and Sociology, as well as Physical Culture and Sports conducted a practical session on the use of immersive technologies for physical rehabilitation and social adaptation of seriously wounded servicemen.
During the session, the results of joint scientific research of scientists in the field of information technologies, rehabilitation and socio-psychological support were used. Scientific research is being conducted to develop technology for the physical rehabilitation of military veterans who have received serious injuries and psychological trauma. These technologies make it possible to create protective environments that will promote the restoration of physical and mental health.
The practical session was conducted with the direct participation of doctors and psychologists of the rehabilitation center. The effect of using the proposed method exceeded all expectations. It has been confirmed that an innovative approach to therapy and rehabilitation can reduce phantom pain in servicemen with amputated limbs, improve the psycho-emotional state of patients, and help restore social ties. Medical workers and the administration of the rehabilitation center expressed their interest in continuing cooperation in the direction of improving the presented methodology, as well as conducting further research.
