Students presented sustainable development goals for Ukraine

The Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship held the VII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Higher Education Applicants and Young Scientists “Sustainable Development Goals: Problems and Opportunities for Achievement in Ukraine and the World”.

This year, the conference was co-organized by the Western Ukrainian National University (Ternopil), Mariupol State University and the long-standing partner of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University – Valentyn Mamutov Institute of Economic and Legal Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The organizers dedicated the annual conference to the scientific and practical issues of national economic recovery, green transition, business development, peace and security based on the principles of sustainability. More than 120 participants from various Ukrainian universities presented their research findings at the event.

At the plenary session, the participants were greeted by representatives of the conference organizers and partners of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University:

Ruslan Halgash – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research and Academic Affairs, Economic Activity, and Development of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University;

Oleksii Tselyshchev – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University;

Mykola Dyvak – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research at the Western Ukrainian National University;

Alina Nadezhdenko is a PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor at the Department of Public Administration and Management at Mariupol State University;

Inna Zablodska, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Director of the Luhansk Branch of the Valentyn Mamutov Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;

Olha Sobko is a Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Trade at the Western Ukrainian National University;

Olena Ptashchenko – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Trade, Western Ukrainian National University;

Viktor Shulyk – economic development expert of the Project “Support to the Restoration of Local Self-Government and Community Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Ukraine”, VNG International.

Experienced scientists emphasized the importance of unlocking Ukraine’s scientific potential and engaging young people in solving urgent problems and finding effective solutions to the challenges facing our country today.

The participants and guests of the conference were also greeted by representatives of the student scientific community of our university – Victoria Sibina and Iryna Dovbnia.
