Oleh Zakhozhai, Director of the Center for IT Solutions of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, Acting Head of the Department of Information Technology and Programming, got acquainted with the current state of research in the field of artificial intelligence and virtual reality at The Open University (United Kingdom) (https://open.ac.uk) within the framework of the project “IT for UNI: Bootcamp” (https://mon.gov.ua/ua/news/it-uni-bootcamp-startuye-novij-osvitnij-proyekt)
The professor has presented his work at the Institute of Educational Technology of The Open University, as well as leading the Fridolin Wild Performance Augmentation Lab (PAL). During the event, the participants discussed the priority areas of XR (Extended Reality) technology development, as well as the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) methods and tools to expand the capabilities of virtual reality technologies.
The experience gained will be useful for the launch of the XR Lab at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, which is scheduled to open in spring 2024.
