Four lecturers of the Department of Computer-Integrated Control Systems of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University have completed advanced training in robotics, mechatronics and other courses thanks to the university’s long-standing partners, the USAID Economic Support for Ukraine Project and Festo. From September 2023 to January 2024, the participants of the courses, who are trained in the specialty 174 – Automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics, underwent advanced training in the training modules:
NY 511 Modern Industrial Hydraulics;
ROB 311 Programming of collaborative robotics;
AUT111 Automated process control systems (APCS);
IOT111 Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Edge level integration using Node-RED;
PN111 + РN121 Modern industrial pneumatics: electrical and electronic control systems for pneumatic elements;
AUT211 Fundamentals of mechatronics + AUT121. Overview of sensors and their use in process control.
The total number of hours is 720 (24 ECTS credits) for each.
Based on the results of the training, the participants created 7 training modules on core and elective components: “Fundamentals of Mechatronics”, “Fundamentals of Robotics”, “Theory of Automatic Control. Parts 1-2”, “Technical means of automation”, “Industrial Internet of Things”, “Theoretical foundations of measuring equipment”. Upon completion of the courses, the participants received internationally recognized certificates and a lot of new knowledge.
