Olena Karchevska, Associate Professor of the Department of Political and Cultural Studies, attended the online lecture “How did we get here? Highways and byways of Ukrainian history of the twentieth century”. This is the second lecture in the framework of the educational project “In Search of Identity” implemented by the NGO Cultural Project.
The aim of the initiative is to unite the Ukrainian nation by finding answers to the questions: who are Ukrainians and where should they move to have a future?
The participants discussed the complex and tragic events of Ukrainian history in the twentieth century, examined the motives of Russian aggression, analyzed the reasons why Ukrainians were killed and survived, and why they did not perceive signs of war before the full-scale invasion.
