Teachers of the Department of Civil Engineering, Urbanism and Spatial Planning took part in an information day organized by the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to promote the opportunities of the European Union’s URBACT IV Program for the period 2021-2027 (Urban Development Network) and to promote the active participation of Ukrainian partners. In December 2023, the European Commission approved Ukraine’s accession to the Program, and its total budget for 2021-2027 was increased and now amounts to almost 87 million euros.
The purpose of the event is to provide the most useful information about the Program and the opportunities that are now open to Ukrainian applicants. Thanks to the tools and networks that Ukrainian cities will now be able to join, stakeholders will be able to implement best practices to improve cities, as well as develop useful connections and further international cooperation.
