Andrii Zhydkov died on November 4 near Bakhmut. He was 50 years old.
Andrii Zhydkov fought in the 111th Territorial Defense Brigade (Luhansk region) since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation.
In 2014, he moved from occupied Luhansk to Sievierodonetsk together with the university. He was among those people who restored the university’s activities in the new conditions, as well as built civil society in the Luhansk region. Thanks to Andrii Zhydkov, a large number of important projects were implemented. He was the first who began to care about the inclusiveness of the university’s educational environment, the first to initiate the creation of a brand of Luhansk region, the first to start working on promoting sustainable development goals among young people, and dealt with energy saving issues.
