These trainings are held within the framework of the Project “Strengthening the Fundraising Capacity of Displaced Universities” implemented by Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University in cooperation with Mariupol State University within the framework of the Program “Strengthening Displaced Ukrainian Universities for Sustainable Development” implemented by the Fulbright Program in Ukraine and funded by the Press, Education and Culture Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
Ruslan Kraplych is a public figure, an expert in fundraising and development of non-profit organizations, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ostroh Princes’ Philanthropic Foundation. He has worked as an expert at the invitation of many organizations. He has experience in different countries of the world.
During the online training, participants discussed the difference between PR, image and communication. They discussed the principles of establishing and maintaining relationships and the need to develop them. The trainer spoke about networking circles, the culture of communication within circles and between different networking circles. The participants reviewed the Stanford Communication Model and its elements, and discussed qualitative levels of messages. At the same time, the training gave the participants the opportunity to practice formulating a key message aimed at attracting resources. In addition, Mr. Ruslan spoke about how to build an effective fundraising campaign.
The knowledge gained will be processed during the homework for the university team. As a result of the training, systematic steps will be developed to strengthen internal relations, steps to support current partners, and steps to establish communication with potential university partners to attract resources.
