Students of the Department of Light Industry Technology of the Faculty of Engineering of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University attended a guest online lecture by Professor Kalyna Pashkevych of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design on the topic: “Development of clothing collections: stages, sources of inspiration, design practices of world fashion houses” as part of the study of the educational components “Designing artistic clothing systems”, “Computer design of clothing”, “Style and design” of the educational program “Design technologies, construction and modern decoration of light industry products”.
The lecture was attended by more than 70 participants: teachers, bachelor’s and master’s students and postgraduate students of Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, I. Cragnea Chisinau State Pedagogical University (Moldova), Khmelnytsky National University, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.
The students learned about the methods of creating sketches of clothing models, sources of inspiration, modern design practices of Ukrainian designers, as well as the technologies of manufacturing and finishing clothing models of world fashion houses (Jean-Paul Gaultier, Coco Chanel, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana).
