The official opening of Open Agro University took place at the Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center in Kyiv. The educational project Open Agro University is implemented with the participation of KERNEL, the project organizer, a leading global producer and exporter of sunflower oil, a key supplier of agricultural products from the Black Sea region to world markets, exporting its products to more than 80 countries.
Open Agro University is an opportunity to get not only a modern and high-quality education, but also practical experience. The curriculum is designed for students in seven areas: power engineer, instrumentation and automation engineer, agribusiness mechanical engineer, plant mechanical engineer, agronomist, oils process engineer, and quality service engineer. With each season of the project, Kernel expands opportunities for participants and improves the training base. The training has a number of advantages: industry experts, practitioners from leading international companies; scholarships, international conferences, paid internships, access to a closed knowledge base and professional community, professional knowledge at the level of international universities.
The event was also attended by representatives of the University’s reliable partner, the USAID Economic Support for Ukraine Project.
After the official part, the students were divided into 11 teams that took part in the business case competition, after which the teams presented their solutions, which were evaluated according to the criteria of professionalism, creativity, and teamwork.
