The congress was attended by philosophers from almost all countries of the world from 5 continents.
The most numerous were delegations from China and Italy. The scientific program of the congress contained 89 sections in all areas of philosophy and the most influential national philosophies of the world. In addition, the program included 5 plenary sessions on the problems of ontology, epistemology, sociology, psychology and praxology, as well as 9 symposia on narrower modern philosophical problems.
In addition, the problems of symposia, plenary meetings and sections were discussed in more detail at numerous round tables, dialogical sessions, sessions of societies and additional lectures. The problems of artificial intelligence and transhumanism, as well as gender studies, were dominant at the congress. Interestingly, at the congress there was a numerous section of Marxist philosophy, which is completely denied in Ukraine. It took place almost all the days of the congress, and its participants were mainly Chinese. A separate day was given to student philosophy sessions. The workers were 7 languages of the world, the common language of communication was English.
Assoc. Prof. N. Shelkova, who attended the symposium on artificial intelligence, as well as at the plenary sessions of Vulnerability and Knowledge and Embodiments, drew attention to the fact that in philosophy there is a paradigm shift from the absolutization of ratio and confidence in the knowledge of the world and the possibility of achieving truth by sensual-rational knowledge, awareness of the subjectivity of our knowledge and the “reasonableness” of our body, as well as the removal of the barrier between man and animals, birds and even insects, which are much better than humans integrated into the environment. Scientists, philosophers understand better and better that an adequate worldview is not “man and nature” (separation), but “man-nature” (organic connection). In addition, the problem of artificial intelligence and its integration into man and human life, which today worries most earthlings, involves the realization that AI will perceive the world differently than man, so it is necessary to lay in it primarily ethical values to prevent undesirable and even threatening the existence of people consequences.
Speech at the symposium on artificial intelligence of the world-famous philosopher, researcher of consciousness David Chalmers (USA). Topic: “Can a large language model have a mind?.”
Staying at the World Congress provides an opportunity to expand scientific contacts, meet interesting people who have common scientific interests. It is very important.
